ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Embry-Riddle women's golf team teed off the spring portion of its season with the World Golf Invitational on Monday, and the Eagles hold down the 12th spot on the leaderboard at 39 over par with a 308 in round one and round two unfinished. Seventeen programs attempted to complete two rounds at the 6,061-yard, par-72 World Golf Village. However, darkness forced the suspension of round two with a couple of groups yet to finish.

The field is loaded with elite talent as eight teams are ranked inside the top-25, including No. 1 Nova Southeastern, No. 2 Rollins, No. 7 Flagler, No. 10 Barry, No. 11 Lynn, No. 13 Saint Leo, No. 19 Limestone, and No. 21 Lander.

Loa Johannsson stayed consistent in her two rounds of action, firing a pair of 75s to pace the team with a 150 stoke total, good enough for a top-25 placement (T-24th).

Millie Lawson was one of the unlucky few who were unable to complete the second round. However, she is on pace to record the Blue and Gold's best score in round two should she par her two remaining holes to earn a 74 after a round-one 78.

Reni Jancsik also left her second round unfinished after an opening round score of 82.

Jasmine Yang was on fire to start the day, recording a season-best 73 in the opening 18 holes. A second-round 82 has her at 155 total strokes.

Savannah Hawthorne saw an eight-stroke improvement from her first (87) to her second round (79), which was also a season-best score, for 166 shots on the day.

Individual Eden Tsouklaris (80-89=169) is competing in her first collegiate tournament. Stevie Albright (80-80=160) and Gabby Roth (79-82=161) are also participating as individuals.

Lynn (+7) leads Lander (+13) and Nova Southeastern (+13) by six strokes on the team leaderboard.

Flagler's Stella Jelinek and Lander's Kajsa Lindqvist sit at one under par to pace all individuals.

The second round resumes at 8 a.m. with the third and final round to follow immediately after.
