Men’s Soccer Releases 2024 Schedule

| By:
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla – Head Coach David Gregson released the men's soccer schedule for the upcoming 2024 season on Wednesday. A total of 15 matches are on the docket with eight scheduled at the ERAU Soccer Stadium. It will be the most home regular-season home matches for the program since 2017.

Of the 15 matches, three are against programs that competed at the NCAA II National Tournament, such as Lynn, Barry, and national semifinalist Florida Tech.

The season kicks off with International Student Night on Sept. 5 when the Eagles play Newberry for the first time ever. The three-match homestand continues with a bout versus Georgia Southwestern State on Sept. 7. Embry-Riddle has had the Hurricanes' number of late, outscoring Georgia Southwestern State 3-0 in the last two matchups.

In-state rival Flagler travels south to face the Blue and Gold on Sept. 10. The Eagles have held their ground well at home when playing the Saints as the team hasn't lost on its home turf to its rival since 2008. Last year's meeting was a thriller that saw ERAU score three times in three-and-a-half minutes to erase a 4-1 deficit and come away with a tie.

Embry-Riddle takes its first trip to Spring Hill after the Badgers visited Daytona Beach last season, which was a 4-2 victory for the Eagles.

A non-conference match at Rollins on Sept. 18 serves as the final tune-up opportunity before Sunshine State Conference play begins on Sept. 21 at Tampa. Last year's matchup was a bright spot defensively as the Eagles held the Spartans scoreless for the first time ever in a nil-nil draw that saw goalkeeper Salvatore della Valle block seven shots.

Embry-Riddle then has back-to-back home contests with Florida Tech (Sept. 28) and Lynn (Oct. 2), which is Socctoberfest and Craft Brewing Night.

Next up is a trek down south to battle defending regular-season and SSC tournament champion Barry (Oct. 5) before the Eagles welcome Eckerd to the world's Most Famous Beach on Oct. 12. Embry-Riddle hasn't lost a game at home to the Tritons since 2017.

The matchup between Embry-Riddle and Palm Beach Atlantic on Oct. 16 should be marked on all calendars after the surprise the Eagles pulled in 2023. Three scores in the final five minutes, two of which were from Jacob Callahan, sealed a 3-1 victory in the season finale to snap the Eagles' eight-match losing streak in the all-time series.

Embry-Riddle closes out its home slate with a meeting with Saint Leo on Oct. 23 and then faces Rollins on Oct. 26 for Senior Night.

The Eagles then get on the bus to travel to Florida Southern on Oct. 30. Lakeland has been kind to the Blue and Gold recently with the last two occasions producing a 3-3 draw and a 3-1 win.

Nov. 6 serves as the season finale with ERAU facing Nova Southeastern on the road.

The top six teams in the conference standings will compete in the SSC Tournament from Nov. 11-17 with the winner receiving the league's automatic bid to the NCAA II National Tournament.

All home matches and all road SSC contests can be viewed on the Sunshine State Conference Digital Network.

Season tickets for the 2024 men's soccer season go on sale Aug. 1. Single-match tickets will be available Sept. 1.
