GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the fourth consecutive season, the Embry-Riddle baseball team has been recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) as recipient of the Team Academic Excellence Award. Head coach
Randy Stegall's Eagles were one of just 84 NCAA Division II programs to earn the distinction, including just six Sunshine State Conference members.
To qualify, teams must have had a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the entirety of the 2023-24 academic year. The diamond Eagles maintained a stout 3.32 GPA, a full 10 points up from last season, including 24 players with at least a 3.5.
In total, the ABCA recognized just north of 470 collegiate programs across all levels of NCAA and NAIA.
