2025 SSC Preseason Poll
MELBOURNE, Fla. —The Sunshine State Conference office has announced the 2025 preseason baseball coaches poll with Embry-Riddle listed fifth among the 11 SSC schools. The Eagles, which reached the NCAA II Super Regionals during a 35-win season in 2024, finished in fourth place last year.
Tampa received 10 first-place votes and 100 total points to top the poll for the eighth consecutive year. The Spartans won the league crown and the National Championship a year ago. Both Florida Southern (79pts, one first place vote) and Nova Southeastern (79pts) came in for a tie at second, according to the league's coaches. Rollins (78) is just ahead of ERAU (64), rounding out the top half of the conference. Lynn (56), Saint Leo (43), Barry (41), Florida Tech (27), Palm Beach Atlantic (25) and Eckerd (13) cap off the full 11.
ERAU returns a bevy of starters from last season's campaign, including infielding starters Timo Aracena, Drew Clymer, Matthew Coker and Alex Imposimato, outfielder AJ Marinello and the likes of Max Meyer, Joe Balsam and Keagan Perez on the bump.
The 2025 campaign is just weeks away as ERAU prepares for a season-opening trek to Montevallo on Jan. 31 for a three-game set.
