Mateo Earns Division II CCA All-Region Recognition

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Embry-Riddle's Lauryn Mateo was named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-South Region team on Tuesday afternoon. The 24 sports information directors in the South Region were each allowed to cast a vote to determine the honorees.

Mateo was the Eagles' lone selection after leading the team in nearly every attacking category this season. Her six goals, three assists, 15 points, 44 shots, 20 shots on goal and three game-winning goals were all team highs. With nine career game-winners, she will enter her senior season ranked among the program's top 10 all-time in that category.

In addition to pacing the Eagles, the forward also ranked in the top five among the Sunshine State Conference in several categories, finishing tied for second in game-winning goals, fourth in shots and tied for fifth in both goals and points.

A First Team All-SSC and CSC Academic All-District honoree earlier this season, Mateo has now earned CCA All-Region honors for the second straight year after being named to the First Team in 2024.
