DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle men's tennis capped off its fall portion of the 2025-26 season over the weekend, hosting the ERAU Invite at the Crotty Tennis Complex.

The Eagles hosted several regional competitors for the three-day event that ran from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon.

Embry-Riddle boasted a solid start in doubles play to open the weekend, taking five of the six matches on Friday. Charles Leguillon and Enrique Amaya paired up for a 6-1 win over Palm Beach Atlantic's Kamalov and Coiteux while three other ERAU pairings marked 6-3 victories in their respective matches.

In singles play, the Eagles secured 10 victories across three flights. Marc Mail, Joshua Nuyts, Safar Rasulov, Manuel Lanteri, Michael Shalom, Pranav Kumar, Amaya, and Leguillon all led with straight-set efforts.

On Saturday, the Eagles featured competitive results beginning with doubles victories from Mason Cisco/Mail, Joao Morgado/Nuyts, and Frederic Tu/Kumar. The combination of Mail/Cisco paired up for two wins on the day, marking a 7-6 (7) tiebreaker win and a dominant 6-2 win as well.

For singles, Morgado (6-2, 6-2), Cisco (6-1, 6-4), and Shalom (6-0, 6-3) all took control of their matches with straight-set wins. As for Mail, he took down Florida Southern's Marco Cinotti in a gritty performance 6-1, 4-6, 10-6.

In the final day of action, two doubles pairings earned wins for Embry-Riddle. Nuyts/Morgado combined for a 6-2 win over Sormaz/Cardozo from Eastern Florida State while Leguillon/Shalom won 6-1 over EFSC's Ekjord/Gharam. During singles, Morgado went for back-to-back 6-4 wins over Florida Southern's Matthew Hewitt. Nuyts downed his opponent from Eckerd in a 6-2, 7-6 (4) with Rasulov capturing a 6-1, 7-5 win over his foe from EFSC. Tu capped off the weekend with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Sormaz from EFSC.

Embry-Riddle concludes fall play and will look to recover and rebuild for a strong performance in the spring.
