DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle men's basketball continued Sunshine State Conference play on Saturday, capturing a 77-70 victory inside the ICI Center.
The Eagles (4-4, 2-1 SSC) were led by Dawon Barr's career-best 24 points, while
Jared Berry added 19. ERAU knocked down 10 three-pointers led by five from Barr and three from
Evan Montanari while also securing a 41-36 rebounding edge to fend off a competitive Barry side.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
- Berry scored first and helped ERAU to an early 4-2 advantage before the Bucs responded with a commanding 21-5 run over the next few minutes.
- The Eagles settled in and began to chip away at the Bucs' advantage, piecing together a 17-6 stretch of scoring to pull the deficit to 29-26 with less than six minutes remaining.
- After trailing for much of the half, Embry-Riddle closed out strong in the final couple of minutes, with scores from Braeden Moore and Barr cutting the deficit down.
- A pair of foul shots from Berry tied and captured the lead at 32-31 with 2:50 on the clock.
- Barr closed out the half with a layup and a pair of shots from the charity stripe to give the Eagles a 36-33 advantage at the half.
- Berry and Barr both netted 11 points apiece in the first 20 minutes as the Eagles shot for 41.9% from the field and 83.3% from the foul line.
Second Half
- Barry opened on an 8-2 run to begin the second half and briefly reclaimed a 41-38 advantage, but Embry-Riddle responded with a decisive stretch midway through the period.
- ERAU went on a 13-5 stretch of scoring with nine points coming off the hands of Barr for a 51-46 lead with 13:51 remaining.
- The Bucs responded and went on a 10-0 run to swing momentum towards a five-point lead of their own.
- The Eagles scored 12 unanswered capped off by five points from Clarens Pierre and held a 63-56 lead with just over seven minutes to play.
- Embry-Riddle remained in control of the score for the rest of the contest despite the pressure from Barry.
- The Eagles outscored the Bucs 41-37 in the second half and went 10-of-14 from the foul line.
- Barr led the Eagles' offensive efforts with 13 points and 4-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc.
