SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Embry-Riddle men's lacrosse team posted their highest goal total of the season and the Eaglesere even with Anderson through three quarters, but the 20th-ranked Trojans used a nine-goal fourth quarter to pull away for a 21-14 victory.
Trey Dring was the high scorer for the Eagles with a career-high seven goals, while
Tim Keefe tallied seven points on three goals and four assists.
How it Happened
First Quarter
• The Eagles and the Trojans exchanged goals through the first eight minutes of the game, resulting in a 4-4 tie at the 3:55 mark.
• Radyn Badraun scored with 3:42 left to give the Trojans a 5-4 edge at the end of the quarter.
Second Quarter
• Badraun opened the second quarter with a score to increase the Anderson lead to two goals, but goals by Dring and Keefe in a two-minute span evened the score at 6-6.
• With 3:25 left in the quarter Dring scored again to give the Eagles a 7-6 lead.
• Anderson equalized again and at the half the score was tied at 7-7.
Third Quarter
• Less than two minutes into third, Keefe put the Eagles back in front 8-7.
• The Eagles and the Trojans scored five goals apiece to head into the fourth tied at 12-12.
Fourth Quarter
• Penalties doomed the Eagles in the fourth quarter.
• The Trojans scored on five of their seven extra-man opportunities and outscored the Eagles 6-0 in the first six minutes of the period.
• Anderson outscored Embry-Riddle 9-2 in the final 15 minutes to take the win.
