Embry-Riddle Sweeps SSC Women’s Lacrosse and Tennis Weekly Honors

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla – The Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse team earned both Offensive and Defensive Player's of the Week honors as awarded by the Sunshine State Conference. Men's and women's tennis also won SSC weekly honors after their dominating performances over the weekend.

Callison Foreman earned SSC Offensive Player of the Week honors. She was the lead all players with five goals in Saturday's 18-4 win against Alabama-Huntsville . The senior also racked up one assist, six points, one ground ball and one caused turnover.

Ella-Rae Cox earned the SSC Defensive Player of the Week award. This comes after a strong performance against Alabama-Huntsville. She made eight saves only allowing four goals, keeping the Chargers goalless for three quarters and managing her defense.

Carla Cabero del Hierro earned SSC Women's Player of the Week honors after her team faced NAIA No.14 St. Thomas. She lost three games the whole day, winning 6-0 in doubles at number one and 6-2, 6-1 in singles at the No. 3 position.

The last award goes to Wilson Igbinovia who earned male SSC Player of the Week, also facing St. Thomas he excelled in both doubles and singles. At No.3 doubles he won 6-2 and in singles he was first off the court winning 6-0, 6-0.
