DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle baseball team split a rare Friday doubleheader, falling to Ohio Dominican 15-7 in the first game but bouncing back with a 14-5 defeat of the Panthers in the second game.
Defensive miscues plagued the Eagles in game one as they committed a season-high seven errors. Embry-Riddle played a much cleaner game in the nightcap and the six pitchers who took the mound for the Eagles combined to tie the program's single-game record for strikeouts (18) which was set in 2014.
Gunnar Harrison led the way with a career-best seven Ks to improve his record to 2-1 on the year.
The second game also saw
Max Kops post his second two-homerun game of the season. He missed a third homerun by inches adding a double to his tally and finishing the game 4-for-5 with four RBI.
