DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The No. 17 Embry-Riddle men's tennis team pulled off a 5-2 upset over No. 14 Wayne State University on Sunday afternoon at the Crotty Tennis Complex. Despite dropping the doubles point, the Eagles rallied in singles play, securing four three-set victories to seal the win.

How it Happened
- The doubles combination of Wilson Igbinovia and Mason Cisco earned a 6-3 win over Benjamin Hill and Luis Klaus. However, losses at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles gave Wayne State the doubles point and an early lead.
- Enrico Rosellini was dominant at No. 3 singles, earning the Eagles' only straight-sets win of the day, 7-5, 6-0 against Tom Wasner.
- Ranked No.70 nationally, Igbinovia kept his winning ways, upsetting No.15 Cedric Drenth 6-4,5-7,6-2 at No.1 singles.
- Michele Iftimie battled through a roller-coaster match at No. 5 against Klaus. After taking the first set 6-4 and dropping the second 1-6, he dug deep to prevail in the third-set tiebreaker, 7-6(8).
- At No. 3 singles, Josh Nuyts fought off No. 74 George Day in another three-set thriller, 7-5, 5-7, 6-4.
- The final point of the day came from No.37 Alvaro Diaz Rodrigo at No.4. He mounted a comeback to secure a 6-7(4),6-4,7-6(4) victory against Hill.
