BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 15th-ranked Embry-Riddle men's lacrosse team suffered its first Sunshine State Conference loss of the season on Wednesday falling to Lynn (RV) 11-6 on the road. The Eagles struggled hold on to the ball in Wednesday's game as they matched their season-high turnover total with 22 in the loss.
Trey Dring led the Eagle offense with three goals, while
Carter Groezinger went the distance in the cage, collecting nine saves.

Lynn: 7-3, 2-1
First Quarter
• Lynn scored the first goal of the game at the 10:20 mark, but the Eagles leveled the score less than a minute later thanks to an unassisted goal by
Christopher Harper.
• In a period where goals were tough to come by, the Eagles committed eight turnovers and one of those miscues led to another Lynn goal giving the home team a 2-1 edge.
Second Quarter
• The Eagles won five of the seven faceoffs in the second quarter.
• Lynn scored three times in the first eight minutes to increase their lead to 5-1.
• Dring scored twice in a 90-second span, but another Lynn goal gave the Fighting Knights a 6-3 advantage at the half.
Third Quarter
• The Eagles came storming back to start the third, shutting out the Fighting Knights for the first 11:30 of the period.
• The Blue and Gold got goals from
Christian Hofer and Dring during that span to cut the lead to 6-5.
• Lynn regrouped to score two in a row, but
Elek Zubor notched the first goal of his collegiate career to close the gap to two (8-6) heading into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter
• Lynn won the fourth quarter outscoring the Eagles 3-1 in the final 15 minutes.
• The Fighting Knights won the first faceoff of the period and scored three unanswered goals to go up 11-6.
• Embry-Riddle had four consecutive shots, but three went wide of the mark and the other was stopped by the Lynn goalkeeper.
• The Eagle defense held the Fighting Knights at bay over the last 7:17 of the game.

Tim Keefe finished a pass from Hofer to close out the scoring with 11 seconds remaining.
