Women’s Track & Field Quartet Earns National Championship Bids

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A program record four members of the Embry-Riddle women's track and field have qualified for the 2025 NCAA II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Brooklynn Gould, Maxi Kirschner, Mikaela Miles and Taylor Roth will represent the Eagles at the national championship event which takes place May 22-24 at the CSU Pueblo Thunderbowl in Pueblo, Colorado.
 
Brooklynn Gould
• Gould is a multi-event athlete who is making her third straight national championship appearance and her second this season.
• She was a Second Team All-American in the pentathlon at the 2025 NCAA II indoor championships and earned Second Team All-America honors in the heptathlon in 2024.
• Gould scored a program-record 5,260 points in the heptathlon at the Bryan Clay Multi Event which ranks eighth in NCAA II this season.
 
Maxi Kirschner
• Kirschner is making her first national championship appearance after narrowly missing the cut in 2024.
• Kirschner qualified with a program-best thrown of 46.45m in the javelin at the Terry Long FSU Relays.
 
Mikaela Miles
• Miles has qualified for her fifth national championship event in the triple jump.
• The junior finished third in the triple jump at the 2025 NCAA II indoor championships and is looking to improve on her fifth-place finish at the outdoor nationals in 2024.
• Miles broke her own program record at the Peach Belt Conference Championships with a leap of 12.87m which ranks third in NCAA II this year.
 
Taylor Roth
• Roth is also making her national championship debut becoming just the third woman in the Eagles' NCAA II era to qualify in the 800m.
• Roth ran the fastest 800m race of her career with a time of 2:07.48 at last weekend's Lee Last Chance meet to secure a spot in the national championship field.
 
THE SCHEDULE
Gould will be the first to compete for the Eagles as the heptathlon begins at 1 p.m. on Thursday. Roth will take the track in the preliminary round of the 800m at 8 p.m. on Friday. Saturday's action will see Kirschner take the runway in the javelin at 1 p.m. followed by Miles in the triple jump at 7:30 p.m. The 800m final is scheduled for 8 p.m. All times MDT.
