DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle men's and women's tennis is set to host a free clinic for the Daytona Beach and Volusia County community at the Crotty Tennis Complex on Saturday, Jan. 17.
The "Meet the Eagles" event will run from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and will feature various drills, games, prizes, food, and an opportunity to showcase skills against ERAU's nationally ranked tennis programs.
The Eagles welcome participants of all ages and skill levels to the Embry-Riddle campus in Daytona Beach. Racquets will be available on a first come, first served basis for those who do not have one.
Women's Head Coach Chad Berryhill emphasized the importance of connecting the local community with the ERAU tennis programs.
"This is a fun and inspiring way to connect with our wonderful local community," Berryhill stated. "I've been able to run similar events at other institutions I've been at, and it is great to open our program up to the community."
"We're hoping this event will inspire the next generation of tennis athletes in our area," Berryhill said. "We have great tennis programs at Embry-Riddle, and we want to showcase our talented student-athletes. We compete on campus often and need the support of our local community. We would love our student-athletes to connect with the community in Volusia County."
