Men’s Basketball Downs Fighting Knights in 10-Point Road Win

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Embry-Riddle men's basketball put together a wire-to-wire road win on Saturday afternoon, downing Lynn in an 88-78 victory inside the de Hoernle Sports & Cultural Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half
 
  • The lone tie came early after Lynn responded to a Clarens Pierre slam off a Jared Berry dime at the 19:27 mark.
  • ERAU found early rhythm from beyond the arc behind Evan Montanari and Berry, but the long-range shooting would go cold later in the half.
  • The Eagles managed to push the margin to six points within the first five minutes before stretching to their first double-digit lead at the 10:58 mark.
  • Embry-Riddle built its lead to as large as 13, but a late surge from Lynn kept the deficit within reach.
  • The Eagles closed out the half with a 39-34 lead despite an 8-2 run from the Fighting Knights in the final two minutes.

  • ERAU continued to grasp onto commanding separation, moving to a 21-point edge with a three-pointer from Braeden Moore at the 4:29 mark.
  • Moore's bucket was the final field goal for the Eagles as Lynn surged late.
  • The Fighting Knights scored 11 unanswered to knock the deficit down to 85-75 with 1:35 remaining, scoring nine points from deep.
  • Thankfully for the Eagles, both teams finished from the foul line as ERAU held on for an 88-78 victory.
  • Berry and Montanari led the offensive production, combining for 24 of ERAU's 49 points in the half.
