NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the Regional Athletes and Coaches of the Year for the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field season on Monday.

Antonio Caito,
Mike Rosolino and
Gary Ellington each earned South Region honors.
Awards:
South Region – Men's Field Athlete of the Year – Antonio Caito
- Caito delivered his top performance of the season at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, placing second in the triple jump. His best mark came on his final attempt at 15.82m. Caito finished the season as the Peach Belt Conference champion, the national runner-up and completed an undefeated regular season.
South Region – Women's Field Athlete of the Year – Mikaela Miles
- Miles won her first national championship in the triple jump. A perennial national qualifier who previously finished third, 10th and 11th, she left no doubt this season. Her opening jump of 13.00m was the first mark to break the 13m barrier all season, and she followed it with a 13.11m effort.
South Region – Men's Coach of the Year – Mike Rosolino
- Rosolino led the Eagles to their third consecutive Peach Belt Conference indoor title, winning by more than 100 points. He guided four student-athletes to nationals and oversaw school records in the 60m, 200m, 400m, 60m hurdles and triple jump.
South Region – Men's Assistant Coach of the Year – Gary Ellington
- Ellington played a key role in all five school records set this season and coached two First Team All-Americans, highlighted by Caito's runner-up finish. He also coached Luke Richardson to a seventh-place finish nationally in the 60m.
Embry-Riddle will look to translate its indoor success to the outdoor season as the Eagles return to competition at the UCF Knights Invitational.
