Men’s Rowing Takes Part In San Diego Crew Classic

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Embry-Riddle men's rowing sent their V8+ boat across the country to enjoy a weekend of great competition at the San Diego Crew Classic. The Eagles competed in a race on Saturday morning before coming back the next day for another race.
Throughout the weekend, ERAU competed against California, Gonzaga, UC San Diego, UCLA, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, USC, San Diego State, UC Irvine, and more. 


The weekend began with Embry-Riddle racing in Heat 2 of 4, watching their boat cross the line at a time of 6:33.32. The Blue and Gold finished ahead of UC Santa Barbara in the heat and earned an 8th place result after the conclusion of each heat.

On Sunday morning, ERAU was able to move up a spot into 7th place as the Eagles edged out UCLA by less than half a second, finishing at 6:37.264 to close out the Crew Classic.

UP NEXT
The Eagles will have two weeks off as they prepare for the Knecht Cup. Embry-Riddle will send their boats up to Pennsauken, New Jersey for a weekend of competition on April 11 and 12.
