Men’s Rowing Has Pair of Varsity Boats Compete During Knecht Cup

| By:
PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — Embry-Riddle men's rowing sent a pair of eight boats up to the Knecht Cup this past weekend, with each boat competing in a race on both Saturday and Sunday. As one of the only Division II schools competing, the Eagles were still able to find success, advancing both the V8+ and 2V8+ to the Sunday competition of their respective fields.

For the V8+ boat, they took part in Heat 2 on Saturday with the top six times of the 12 total boats moving on to compete in the Final the following day. Although ERAU got fourth in their heat, the time of 6:01.05 was enough to advance to the championship race. The Blue and Gold would finish in sixth place during Sunday's race, crossing the line at 6:12.45.

As for the 2V8+, they also earned a fourth place result in their opening race, with a time of 6:19.17, just one second behind Temple and narrowly missing out on the championship race. The time was enough to move on to the Petite Final, where Embry-Riddle put on a great performance and earned a runner-up finish at 6:20.50.
