Men’s Rowing Finishes 2026 Regular Season With Pair of Boats at Dad Vail Regatta

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — Embry-Riddle men's rowing competed at the Dad Vail Regatta in Pennsauken, New Jersey, this weekend, marking the program's second trip to the venue in the past month. Racing at the nation's largest collegiate regatta, the Eagles entered both Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 8+ boats. The V8+ placed third in the Final 3 after their time trials, while the 2V8+ advanced to the semifinals and qualified for the Final 2.

The Blue and Gold opened the regatta with the V8+ finishing in 13th-place out of 18 crews in the time trial, crossing the line in 5:41.48. They came up just one spot short of the top 12 cutoff for the semifinals, however the Eagles advanced to the Final 3. ERAU placed third out of seven boats in that race, recording a time of 5:57.92 to close out the regular season.

As for the 2V8+ crew, they were able to advance to the semifinal, finishing at 5:51.65 in the time trials, directly ahead of in-state rivals, Jacksonville and Florida Tech. Embry-Riddle was the only Division II school to advance to the semis, and progressed to the Final 2 after a result of 6:09.75 in the semis. The 2V8+ finished their weekend with a similar time of 6:11.47 in the finale.
