DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's track team finished as the runner-up at the second-ever Sunshine State Conference Track Championship. The Eagles claimed seven of the 12 events but were ultimately edged by Tampa's depth in the distance races.
Highlight Performances
- Luke Richardson won both the 100m and 200m with times of 10.15 and 20.86, respectively. He now ranks sixth nationally in both events. Richardson also contributed to winning efforts in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
- Derick Brown swept the hurdle events, winning the 110m and 400m hurdles, and was also a member of the 4x100m relay team. His time of 13.84 in the 110 hurdles ranks eighth in NCAA Division II this season.
- Eli Enney won the 400m, breaking the school record twice. He ran 46.86 in the prelims before clocking 46.85 in the finals to reset his own mark and secure the victory. His finals time ranks No. 25 in NCAA Division II.
- Embry-Riddle captured titles in both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays with times of 40.71 and 3:12.65, respectively. The 4x400 team of Enney, Andre Inniss, Richardson and Aaron Nash achieved an NCAA Division II provisional mark.
- Nash placed third in the 100 meters with a time of 10.39, also hitting an NCAA Division II provisional standard.
