CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Embry-Riddle track and field sent nine student-athletes to compete at the Lee University Last Chance on Saturday. All nine were looking to fight their way into a spot at the NCAA Division II National Championship or further solidify their place. In order to qualify for the NCAA Division II Championship, student-athletes must meet a provisional standard, and then the top 22 declared will fill out the field.
Performances:
- Aaron Nash competed in both the 100m and the long jump, placing 13th and sixth respectively with marks of 10.61 and 6.70m.
- Eli Enney and Andre Inniss battled hard in the 400m, running times of 48.32 and 50.32, placing 10th and 15th.
- Taye Newman finished 15th in the 1,500m with a time of 3:54.04.
- Nicholas Scarangelli ran a personal best in the 5,000m with a time of 14:17.52, finishing fourth.
- Ryan Antalek took eighth place in the high jump, clearing 1.90m.
- Kobe Diggs placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 14.43m.
- Mason Briggs and Noah Gammichia took part in the javelin, finishing second and third respectively, throwing 63.78m and 59.42m.
