KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Embry-Riddle women's soccer team was recognized among the nation's top academic programs on Friday, earning the United Soccer Coaches (USC) College Team Academic Award after posting a 3.84 cumulative GPA during the 2025-26 academic year. The Eagles' GPA was the highest among all NCAA Division II women's soccer programs and tied for the highest mark among all NCAA and NAIA teams nationwide.

The USC Team Academic Award honors programs that posted a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2025-26 academic year. The Blue and Gold finished the season with a 6-3-9 record, while going 4-1-5 during Sunshine State Conference play, which was enough to advance to the national tournament for the sixth consecutive season.

Along with their success on the field during the fall, the Eagles excelled in the classroom, posting a 3.853 team GPA with 15 student-athletes earning a perfect 4.0 GPA and all 24 members of the roster maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA. The team followed that performance with another outstanding semester in the spring, recording a 3.840 team GPA while 15 student-athletes again posted a 4.0 GPA and the entire roster finished the semester with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

ERAU saw a record six student-athletes included on the CSC Academic All-District roster last November when Thea Nyberg, Anna Marisa Lara, Ida Zetterberg, Matilda Taylor, Olivia Gallo, and Lauryn Mateo each won the award. To be eligible for that recognition, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have played in at least 90% of their team's contests from the current season.
