PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Mentors and mentees will meet virtually each month as a cohort to cover an array of topics, such as networking, job search, interviews, work-life balance, etc. Meetings will run from September through April each year. Mentor/mentee shadowing can be done if available.Â
Mentors and mentees will have a separate orientation prior to the fall.Â
Both mentor and mentees will have a script to use as guidance for the virtual meetings to keep consistency. These will be included in the orientation packets.Â
All in-person meetings will be held at the end of the academic year on campus. A luncheon or dinner would follow as a wrap up and recognition of completion of the program.
A small gift will be given to both the mentee and the mentor for completing the program. For the mentee – preferably something that could be used in their career (ex, portfolio) and for the mentor, a recognition gift like a plaque.
IDENTIFYING MENTORS
The athletics department will actively engage Embry-Riddle alumnus, former Embry-Riddle student-athletes, or an expert in their field to become mentors.
There will be an application process and limited to 30 upperclassmen annually. (Open to all sophomores and above)
