Fall 2010: Wrapped up the fall season at 1-4 in singles…pulled out a three-set (6-7, 6-7 (2), 6-3) win against Fabio Ribak at the USTA/ITA Florida Regional…teamed up with David Spennare for a 2-3 doubles record…the duo earned two wins at the ERAU Open on Sept. 25, defeating NCAA I Jacksonville’s Pitt Von Oertzen and Andrew Lerner (8-6) and Florida Southern’s Vladmir Barbarash and Tony D’Angelo (8-5).

As A Junior in 2009-10: Earned a 5-1 overall record in singles play…was successful in his only dual match of the year with an 8-2 win over Warner’s Kevin Sokol (Mar. 24) at the No. 6 spot…also earned his only dual match doubles win in that contest, team up with David Spennare for an 8-3 defeat of Sokol and Francisco…finished with a 2-3 doubles record…Fall 2009: Posted a 4-1 singles record with all four wins coming against NCAA DI or DII opponents…defeated Florida Southern’s Javier Castro (7-6 (5), 6-1), Kirk Kucin (6-4, 6-4) and Ray Ruyungan (7-6 (6), 6-2) in the ERAU Open (Sept. 25-27)…also topped Troy’s Eiji Moriya 6-3, 6-1 at the Auburn Fall Classic (Nov. 21)…paired with Alejandro Perez for an 8-5 doubles win against Moriya and Stephens at the Auburn Fall Classic (Nov. 21).

As A Freshman in 2008-09: Went 5-3 overall, including a 2-0 record in dual match play…defeated Northwood’s Alex Archuleta 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6 singles (Mar.28) and downed Warner’s Kevin Joyner by the same score, playing at the No. 2 singles position (Mar. 30)…teamed up with Zander Woodford-Smith for an 8-2 win against the Warner pair of Kyle Mahlan and Andres Palceus. Fall 2008: Closed out the fall season with a 3-3 record...downed Florida Southern’s Greg Heartt 7-5, 6-4 at the ERAU Open (Sept. 20)...defeated Warner’s Leandro Lopez 6-1, 6-2 and St. Thomas’ Kenneth Evans 6-4, 6-2 in the consolation bracket of the ITA/Florida Regional (Oct. 4)...suffered a touch three-set loss (7-6, 2-6, 4-10) loss to Webber International’s Ariel Cachan in the consolation semifinals (Oct. 5)...was a perfect 2-0 in doubles play with Alejandro Perez as his partner...the tandem picked up both wins at the ERAU Open, topping Florida Southern’s Kirk Kucin and William Wold 8-2 and Bethune Cookman’s Jeff Smallwood and Kristofer Martin.

As A Freshman 2007-08: Posted a 4-2 record in individual match play...notched wins against Florida Southern’s Greg Heartt (6-3, 6-3) and Embry-Riddle teammate Alex Perez (6-3, 6-1) in his first two matches in the Embry-Riddle Invitational...defeated Adam Perez of St. Thomas 6-2, 6-0 to advance to the consolation final of the ITA Florida Regional...topped Savannah College of Art and Design’s Fernando Horcasitas 8-5 to win the regional consolation title...went 2-1 in doubles with Perez as his partner...the duo collected wins against Bethune Cookman pair of Luis Gomes and Terry Powell and Florida Southern’s Heartt and JJ Bolock.

Prep: Graduated from Maple Leaf International School in 2006...was a middle order batsman and bowler for his cricket team.

Personal: Born in Trinidad and Tobago on June 7, 1988...son of Richard and Alison de la Bastide...majoring in Aviation Business Administration.
