MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Led by 12 kills from Abby Hall and 11 kills from Taylor Martin, the fifth-ranked Embry-Riddle volleyball team picked up a 3-0 (25-7, 25-13, 25-20) win at St. Thomas University Friday night, the 50th consecutive Sun Conference regular season win for the Eagles.

The win improves the Eagles record to 20-4 overall and 7-0 in conference play, while St. Thomas drops to 8-10 overall, 3-6 in TSC matches.

The Blue and Gold got off to a great start, taking an 11-3 lead early. Martin put down a kill to extend the lead to 13-4 and later picked up a service ace to push the margin to 18-5. A kill from Hall advanced the score to 22-5 and she later finished the set with her fourth kill, giving the Eagles a 25-7 win in the set.

ERAU continued to put the pressure on early in the second set, jumping out to a 9-3 lead. A kill from Hall gave Embry-Riddle a 13-8 advantage, and a kill from Gloria Kemp built the margin up to nine points at 19-10. After the Bobcats scored three straight points, the Eagles finished off the set on a 6-0 run, capped by a kill from Leslie Roper.

The third set saw the Eagles again take a 9-3 lead early on, and after an STU attack error gave Embry-Riddle a commanding 15-5 advantage, it appeared the Blue and Gold were well on their way to an easy 3-0 sweep. But the Bobcats wouldn't go down without a fight, rallying to win the next four points, closing to 15-9. After Martin put down a kill to push the lead to 21-13, St. Thomas put together a 5-0 run to cut the deficit to just three points (21-18). Hall ended the Bobcat run with a kill, and STU committed back-to-back attack errors to close out the set, 25-20, giving the Eagles a 3-0 sweep.

Hall led the Eagles with 12 kills and a .407 hitting percentage to go along with eight digs, while Martin added 11 kills (.400 hitting percentage). Jordan Holcomb contributed with eight kills, seven digs and three service aces. Nina Kontrec totaled a match-high 25 digs while Adriana Vazquez tallied 34 assists as the Eagles hit .295 collectively.

Nicole McInnis led the Bobcats with eight kills in addition to eight digs, while Brandi Arsenault chipped in with seven kills and three blocks. Mayara Gomes compiled 13 assists and Angie Ardiles picked up a team-high nine digs.
