VANCOUVER, Wash. - The 2012 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championships were held on Saturday afternoon at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Wash., and the Embry-Riddle Eagles finished 26th out of the 32 total teams in the event.
The Eagles, who earned an automatic bid to the National Championships thanks to their eighth straight Sun Conference title on Nov. 3, were paced by
Vincent Bett, who placed 65th with a time of 26:00.
Alec Hernandez placed 112th in 26:41, while
Jacob Dordick finished the 8K in 27:22 (160th place).
Rounding out the Eagles scorers were senior Josh Guerrero (28:10, 185th) and
Jason Riggs (28:18, 186th), while
Ryan Larson (28:21, 189th) also ran for Head Coach
Mike Rosolino.
The Eagles totalled 708 points to place 26th. St. Francis (Ill.) put four runners in the top 50 and tallied 138 points to claim the 2012 title. Southern Oregon (153), Cal State San Marcos (165), Oklahoma Baptist (179) and Aquinas (191) rounded out the top five teams.
