BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's tennis team closed out its two-day road trip to south Florida with a 5-2 loss to Lynn on Sunday. The Eagles, ranked third in the NAIA are now 15-2 on the year, while the Fighting Knights, ranked fourth in NCAA II, move to 14-3.

Doubles play saw Ekaterina Kamendova and Rocio Frej Vitally open up the scoring for ERAU with an 8-4 defeat of Ana Kriz and Roxana Alexandrou on the second court. Lynn got a point back when Andrea Berklova and Kim Przeszlowski topped Kristina Marova and Paola Montero 8-4 and the Fighting Knights took the lead when the third-ranked pair of Ioana Ivan and Sabina Kraus rallied from a 3-0 deficit to top sixth-ranked Yi Ching Chen and Josefine Strom at the top spot.

In singles, Frej Vitalle wasted little time in dispatching Krause 6-2, 6-4 on the second court. However, that was the Eagles' final point of the day as Ivan downed Chen 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1, Przeszlowki topped Kamendova 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 at No. 3 and Berklova bested Marova 6-1, 6-2 at the fourth spot to clinch the win.

ERAU will return to action at 1 p.m. on Wednesday when the team travels to Babson Park, Fla. to take on Sun Conference opponent Webber International.
