AT A GLANCE
Embry-Riddle travels south to take on St. Thomas in a key Sun Conference matchup on Saturday night. The Eagles, ranked 21st in the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll, square off against the 12th-ranked Bobcats on the road with the second spot in The Sun Conference standings on the line. Both teams are looking up at No. 4 Northwood who sits at 10-2 in the league and needs just two victories in its final four games to secure the regular season title.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
The Bobcats came back from a huge, 19-point deficit in Daytona Beach to stun the Eagles back on Jan. 12, and the Blue and Gold will be looking for some amount of revenge on Saturday. The two teams are seemingly headed in opposite directions as the Eagles have won four of their last five contests while the Bobcats have dropped four of their last five since receiving their highest-ever ranking of No. 4 on Jan. 22.

SCOUTING ST. THOMAS
The Bobcats have made a name for themselves defensively, holding opponents to just 66.1 points per game, 41 percent from the floor and 31 percent from beyond the arc. St. Thomas forces over 21 turnovers a game, yet is outrebounded by their opponents 35.1 to 34.4.

Demonte' Simpson leads the Bobcats in scoring at 14.9 points per game coming off the bench. He is also their leading rebounder at 8.5 boards per contest and needs just four to reach 200 on the season.

St. Thomas has a pair of players that the Eagles will be unfamiliar with as Davorn Bryant and Khaalis Coppock-Bey have appeared in just the last four games for the Bobcats. Bryant is averaging 10.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game while Coppock-Bey is scoring 5.8 points and grabbing 2.3 boards each contest.

LAST GAME: Second Half Comeback Lifts No. 21 Eagles Past Fire, 79-71
LAKELAND, Fla. – After trailing by as many as 12 points in the first half, No. 21 Embry-Riddle outscored Southeastern 49-34 in the second half to take a 79-71 win over Southeastern in Sun Conference action on Wednesday. The win improved the Eagles' overall record to 20-6 overall (7-5 in league play) and secured the program's 18th 20-win season under the guidance of Head Coach Steve Ridder.

TOP-25 MATCHUP
The Eagles and Bobcats are meeting for just the third time as ranked teams. The two squads are two of four Sun Conference teams appearing in the NAIA II Coaches' Top 25 Poll with Northwood at No. 4, St. Thomas at No. 12, Ave Maria at No. 18 and Embry-Riddle at No. 21.

FILLING UP THE RECORD BOOK
DeForest Carter surpassed his 2011-12 season total in points during Wednesday's road victory over Southeastern. The Montverde, Fla. sophomore has scored 736 points in just two seasons with the Blue and Gold, but that wouldn't even be the most impressive statistics for the 6-1 guard.

Carter is already No. 9 in the Embry-Riddle career record book with 321 total assists, while is 5.5 career average ranks third. Carter's 81 rejections rank ninth all-time and his 1.4 average is third-best.

Carter also ranks in the top 10 of the single-season record book with a ninth-place spot in assists (183), first-place showing in assists average (7.0) and ranking 10th in steals (67).

QUARTER CENTURY OF EAGLE BASKETBALL
The 2012-13 season marks the 25th edition of Eagle basketball and Embry-Riddle athletics overall. The basketball, baseball, men's tennis and men's golf programs began in the 1988-89 academic year and were the foundation the rest of the department was built upon.

Embry-Riddle is 575-240 in 25 seasons, capturing eight conference regular season titles, nine conference tournament titles, claiming 17 NAIA All-America honors, 15 Honorable Mention All-American honors and reaching the pinnacle of NAIA basketball in 2000 when the Eagles won the NAIA II National Championship.
