Four Eagles Set Personal Records on Day One of the Bob Pollock Invitational

Carpenter Won His Mile Heat in 4:32.10
CLEMSON, S.C. – The ERAU men's track & field team has concluded the first day of competition at the Bob Pollock Invitational in Clemson, S.C. Day one saw four Eagles post personal records.
 
Michael Campobasso hit a personal record in the 60m dash as part of the heptathlon, with a time of 7.73. He will compete in the pole vault and the 1000m run on Saturday to conclude the heptathlon.
 
Alec Hernandez and Jamin Mays posted season-bests in the 800m, finishing in seventh and eighth place with times of 1:58.76 and 1:58.82, respectively. Freshman Andrew Carpenter won his heat of the mile in a time of 4:32.10. Also in the mile, Palmer Lintz set a collegiate-best finishing in fifth place in 4:36.88. 
 
The Blue and Gold will be back in action tomorrow for the second and final day of the Bob Pollock Invitational.
