ORLANDO, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's track and field team took the short trip east to compete in the UCF Black & Gold Invitational. The meet featured more than 20 NCAA Division I teams across two days of competition.
Highlight Performances:
- Mason Briggs got the Eagles off to a strong start, breaking his own personal best while further solidifying his spot as the No. 2 all-time performer in program history and earning his first collegiate win. Briggs threw 65.43m to win the meet's first event.
- Taye Newman placed 10th overall in the invitational section of the 1500m with a time of 3:48.76, moving into third all-time in program history. Teammate Nicholas Scarangelli followed closely with a time of 3:49.43, ranking fourth all-time.
- Ethan Stout closed out Friday night with a time of 31:21.16 in the 10,000m, the fourth-fastest personal best in program history.
- On Saturday, the freshman duo of Caden Roberts and Ryan Antalek each cleared 2.01m in the high jump, placing sixth and seventh, respectively, and moving into a tie for the fourth-best mark in program history.

Embry-Riddle will return to the UCF Track and Field Complex next weekend for the UCF Knights Invitational, scheduled for March 27-28.
