JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's track & field team wrapped up day one of competition Friday night in Jacksonville, Fla. at the UNF Spring Break Invitational. Day one saw three-time National Champion
Reta Woodard post two automatic qualifying standards.
Woodard kicked off the competition with a season best mark of 54.70m in the hammer throw, good for a runner-up finish and an "A" standard. The senior followed up that performance with an "A" standard in the discus with a season best distance of 44.61m finishing the event in sixth out of 23 competitors.
On the track for the Blue and Gold,
Camaria Cannon set season best times in the 200m (27.07) and the 400m (1:01.92). In the 5000m race
Aleiyah Ross used a personal record time of 18:31.34 to finish in 11th out of 36 runners.
Saturday's competition will kick off with the 4x800m relay race with the Eagle team of
Ellie Staker,
Marina LeVine,
