DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's tennis team improved to 5-0 in Sun Conference play with a 6-0 decision against Webber International, Wednesday at the Crotty Tennis Complex. Prior to the match, both head coaches agreed to compete in singles only and the Eagles were able to sweep all six singles contests to run their overall record to 9-3.
The Eagles got their first point via default as Webber International had only five players eligible for the match. The Blue and Gold dropped just one game in five singles matches as
Hui-I Huang,
Giovanna Tomiotto,
Kathryn Bock and
Jessica Lown all registered shutouts at the first, second, fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
The Embry-Riddle women will be back in action at 2 p.m. on Friday when they travel to Melbourne to face Florida Tech.
