WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's rowing team traveled to Lake Maitland on Thursday morning to take on Rollins in the TARS Regatta, and the Blue and Gold came away with three victories in the five races against the Tars.
"It was a beautiful day to race and we were able to get through a tough week of training to make the most of it," Head Coach
Jamie Francis said. "We still have a lot of work to do before our next race and we are on the right path.
The Eagles opened the day with a win in the Varsity Eight race, posting a time of 7:07.1, just over nine seconds ahead of one of the two Rollins boats. ERAU's boat included

Kaya Treder,
Bethany Thompson,
Kathryn Chilelli,
Kassidi Flynn,
Becca McBride,
Melinda Fix, and
Rachel Hemsworth.
ERAU also won the Varsity Four race, with the group of
Athena Padgiotis,
Julianna Snider,
Casey McMahon,
Alina Gagliola, and
Alyssa Crystal clocking a time of 8:05.1 to defeat the Tars boat, who crossed the line in 8:18.8.
In the Freshmen/Novice Eight race, ERAU got its third win of the day in 7:55.0, beating the Rollins boat by over 11 seconds. The boat featured
Sydney Link, Thompson,
Mackenzie Cunningham, Flynn,
Alyssa Hodum, Powell,
Kayla Tarbox,
Rylan Randolph, and
Jodie Harmon.
The Blue and Gold took second place in the second Varsity Four race, with the boat of McMahon, Stollenwerk,
Madeline Casper, Treder, and Hemsworth finishing with a time of 8:13.3, while Rollins won the race in 7:57.9.
The final event of the day saw Rollins win the Novice Four race in 8:54.5, while the Embry-Riddle boat of Tarbox, Link, Cunningham, Hodum, and Randolph posted a time of 9:27.1.
Next up for the Eagles is the Division II Double Duals hosted by Florida Tech in Fellsmere on Saturday, March 23.
