KINGSVILLE, Texas – The second day of the 2019 NCAA II Outdoor National Championships saw both Eagles competing in the decathlon earn All-American recognition, while
Calahan Warren became a Second Team All-American with his performance in the prelims of the 800m.

Guinn finished the decathlon with 6954 points, placing him fifth overall, good for a First Team All-American honor. Marts finished in ninth place with 6770 points, which makes him a Second Team All-American. With their efforts, Guinn and Marts became the first two NCAA II Outdoor Track & Field All-Americans in program history.

Day two of the decathlon began with the 110m hurdles where Guinn was eighth in 15.34 and Marts was 12th in 15.89, both of which were personal-best times, respectively. In the discus, Guinn set another PR with a 39.34m toss on his final throw, earning a fourth-place result. Marts posted a 32.82m throw to place 11th. The pole vault saw Guinn take ninth (4.20m) and Marts finish 13th (3.70m). Guinn earned a seventh-place result in the javelin with a throw of 47.97m, while Marts was 10th with a mark of 44.23m. The final event, the 1500m, saw Guinn finish 11th in 5:00.68 and Marts 12th in 5:01.87.

Warren placed fifth in the third heat of the 800m prelims, but his time of 1:54.35 wasn't quick enough to advance to Saturday's final, as he placed 11th among the 19 competitors. His 11th place finish earned him Second Team All-American recognition.

Brodie Lubelski will be the lone male athlete to compete for ERAU on the final day of the championships. He is slated to begin the shot put competition at 6:05 p.m. tomorrow.
