COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Embry-Riddle women's track & field team wrapped up the South Carolina Invitational on Saturday, concluding its third and final trip to Columbia this indoor season.
Ukeyvia Beckwith had a successful day, hitting one provisional standard and narrowly missing out on a second.
Beckwith achieved the provisional standard in the 800m with a sixth-place time of 2:11.69. That time currently ranks as the seventh-fastest time in NCAA II this season. Later in the day she jumped 1.65m in the high jump to place fifth, missing the provisional standard by just two centimeters.
Elsewhere, a pair of PRs were set in the 200m.
Nina Richardson clocked a personal-best time of 25.11 while
Devonne Friday posted a new indoor PR with a time of 26.59.
To finish the day, the Distance Medley Relay team of Beckwith,
Morgan Dudley,
Alyssa Zack, and
Anna Miller finished fourth with a time of 12:08.65.
"We had a very successful day with just about everyone setting new personal bests," Head Coach
Mike Rosolino said. "We had some people really step up. Ukeyvia's 800 and provisional standard was a big highlight. Our freshmen had a great day too – Nina in the 200 and 4x4 and Alyssa, Morgan and Anna in the DMR. It's a great way to move into outdoor season."
The Blue and Gold will return home in two weeks to host the annual Bahama House First Chance/Last Chance on Saturday, February 22.
