@ERAUWBasketball Adds McLendon to Staff

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle Head Women's Basketball Coach Lisa Wilson has announced that Carly McLendon will join the Eagles' coaching staff as a graduate assistant in 2020.

McLendon is the second Rollins College product to join the ERAU staff. She played for the Tars from 2015-19 and was coached by current ERAU Assistant Coach Sarah Taylor for two of those seasons.

"We are really excited to have Carly join our staff and program," Wilson said. "She was an outstanding student-athlete at Rollins and in the SSC.  She knows the conference and she knows what it takes to be successful on and off the court. I know our young ladies can learn a lot from her. "

One of the top defensive players in Rollins history, McLendon was named a Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week 10 times and capped her collegiate career as the only two-time league Defensive Player of the Year in SSC history. She currently tops the Tars' all-time blocks list and is fourth in the SSC with 243 career blocks and ranks sixth all-time on the Tars' rebounding list (755).

After graduating from Rollins, McLendon played professionally in Galway, Ireland. She spent one season as the starting post player for the Maree Women's Basketball Team that competed in Super League, the top division in Ireland.

A three-time Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree, McLendon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rollins in 2019 with a degree in Business Management and Environmental Studies.
