Peppelman Elevated to Head Coach of Women’s Lacrosse Program

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle Director of Athletics John Phillips has announced that Leah Peppelman will take over as the head coach of the Eagles' women's lacrosse program. Peppelman becomes the second head coach in the program's five-year history.

"I would like to thank John Phillips, for having the confidence in my ability to lead the Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse program," Peppelman said. "I am grateful for the opportunity to work on a staff of supportive coaches and administration.

"We have a group of resilient and driven student-athletes with unlimited potential. I can't wait for our alumni and supporters to witness what this team can do."

The 2021-22 academic year marks Peppelman's fourth season with Embry-Riddle after she was hired as an assistant coach in June 2018. Peppelman helped lead the Eagles to the first winning season in program history with a 10-7 record and coached three All-Conference selections in 2019.

Peppelman came to Embry-Riddle from Reading, Pennsylvania where she was the Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at NCAA III Albright College for two seasons. In each of her two seasons at Albright, the Lions finished as a top-three team in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth division and advanced to the MAC Commonwealth semifinals twice. She also helped coach seven All-Conference honorees, as well as the 2017 MAC Rookie of the Year.

Peppelman was also involved in club lacrosse, serving as the Head Girls Coach of the PA Express Club for three seasons and as an assistant coach for Lanco Elite Lacrosse Club from 2014-15.

Peppelman will see her first action as a head coach when the Eagles take on the University of Mount Olive in the Eagles' season opener on February 12, 2022.
