DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle cheerleading team has earned a bid to the 2022 National Cheerleading Association Collegiate National Championship. The Eagles will not have to travel far to compete in their fourth national championship as the event will be held at the Daytona Beach Bandshell and Ocean Center, April 6-10.
"I'm very excited for our team to finally be able to compete again here in our hometown!" ERAU Head Cheerleading Coach
Mea Felps-Darley said. "We have an incredibly talented team, and I can't wait for them to show off their athleticism at NCA College Nationals. This team is truly a family, and I could not be prouder of what they have already accomplished this season."
The Blue and Gold will compete in the Intermediate Small Coed Division 2 category. To qualify, the Eagles had to submit a video demonstrating their skill level in stunting, basket toss, jumps and tumbling.
Embry-Riddle will compete against cheerleading programs from universities from across the country in an effort to bring home the coveted golden megaphone trophy.
