Women’s Track & Field Opens Competition at South Carolina Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Embry-Riddle women's track and field team began competition in their third meet of the indoor season on Friday, taking part in the South Carolina Invitational hosted by the University of South Carolina. 
 
On the track, Shenya Patrice ran the second fastest 60m race of her career in the preliminary round, qualifying for the semis in 7.87. 
 
Abby Valley set a personal record in the mile with a time of 5:35.65 to win her heat, while Laura McBride had a PR of her own in the 400m, crossing the line in 1:00.16. 
 
The field events saw Lynlee Rosolino post her indoor-best mark of 2.40m in the pole vault in her third attempt at that height. 
 
The Eagles conclude competition at the two-day meet on Saturday with field events starting at 10 a.m.
