GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's track and field team opened the 2023 indoor season at the RADD Sports Invitational at the brand-new Alachua County Sports Complex on Thursday.
Highlighting the Eagles' performances on Thursday were
Brendon Shea and
Simon Cole who both set indoor personal records in the 3000m. Shea finished fifth in 8:21.24m which is the fourth-fastest time in Embry-Riddle history. Cole bettered his previous best time by nearly 12 seconds, finishing in 8:55.95.
The Eagles close out competition in the two-day meet on Friday starting with the pole vault at 9 a.m.
