GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Multiple Eagles set personal bests for Embry-Riddle women's track and field during the final day of competition at the season-opening RADD Sports Invitational on Friday.
Abby Valley recorded her best collegiate performance in two events. In the mile, the junior smashed her PR by nine seconds with a 5:22.57. Later on in the 800m, she slightly improved her career best by 0.18 with a mark of 2:25.95.
Anna Miller also set a PR in the mile. Her 5:05.59 was faster than the previous facility record.
The 800m run also yielded indoor personal records for
Morgan Dudley and
Laura McBride. Dudley bettered her previous PR by nearly six seconds, crossing in 2:17.98, while McBride finished in 2:21.63.
In the 3000m race,
Kelly Steffens clocked in at 10:51.23 to also set an indoor PR.
Embry-Riddle returns to Gainesville next week, Jan. 26-27, for the Alachua County Collegiate Invitational.
