GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's track & field team wrapped up competition at the Alachua County Collegiate Invitational on Friday. The final day of competition featured provisional qualifying marks, as well as season and personal bests for the Blue and Gold.
The Embry-Riddle women finished one-two in the 800m.
Laura McBride crossed the line in first place in a personal-best time and NCAA II provisional mark of 2:14.37 followed by
Morgan Dudley whose second-place time of 2:15.58 was also a personal record. .
ERAU registered a pair of top-10 finishes in the triple jump with
Mikaela Miles taking third with a leap of 11.70m (38-4.75) and
Michala Daniels finishing ninth with a mark of 10.80m (35-5.25). Miles' mark also hit the NCAA II provisional qualifying standard.
Daniels also had PRs in two events with times of 8.17 seconds in the 60m dash and 9.94 seconds in the 60m hurdles. Those events also yielded personal records for
Helena Huyke who ran an 8.34 60m and a had a time of 9.67 in the hurdles.
In the shot put, Amber Sauer bettered her mark from a week ago with a throw of 11.75m (38-6.75) to take third place.
The Eagles will be back at the Alachua County Sports Complex Feb. 2-3 for the Celebration Pointe Indoor Classic.
