DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Mike Rosolino, the head coach of Embry-Riddle's men's and women's track and field programs, has announced the schedule for the 2024 indoor and outdoor seasons, his 22nd in charge of the programs.
The first five meets will be in the same location, as the Alachua County Sports Complex in Gainesville will play host to start the season.
The Eagles start off on Jan. 12. at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational, hosted by the Gainesville Sports Commission. ERAU will compete at the RADD College Invite, with January then being capped off by a third Friday trip to Gainesville for the Alachua County Collegiate Invitational on Jan. 26.
February begins in similar fashion, as the Eagles are set to compete at the Celebration Pointe Indoor Classic on Friday, Feb. 2. It's a shorter break for Embry-Riddle after this, as they compete in Gainesville once again the following Thursday at the Florida University Last Chance.
The Eagles will send a small contingent to the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston on Friday, Feb. 9.
The 2023 season will feature a first for the Peach Belt Conference as the league will host its inaugural indoor conference championships. That meet will also take place at the Alachua Sports Complex on Feb. 19.
The 2024 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, which take place in Pittsburg, Kansas on March 8.
As indoor competition gives way to the outdoor season, the Eagles will host their first home meet of the year at the ERAU Track & Field Complex on March 2.
The following week, the Eagles take a trip to Jacksonville to compete in the River City Classic on March 14, followed by a trip to Orlando for the Knights Invitational on March 22.
It's another home meet after that, as the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic will take place at the ERAU Track & Field Complex March 28-30.
April begins with the South Florida Invitational, hosted by the University of South Florida on April 5. in Tampa, with a trip to Azusa, California for the Bryan Clay Invitational taking place following Friday.
Embry-Riddle hosts a third event, the Eagles' men's and women's teams will look to defend their titles at the 2024 Peach Belt Conference Outdoor Championships at the ERAU Track & Field Complex.
It's back on the road for two more chances to qualify for nationals on Friday, May 10, with Embry-Riddle competing at both the Lee Last Chance Meet in Cleveland, Tennessee and at the UMO Last Chance in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
The NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships take place on Thursday, May 23. in Emporia, Kansas.
