JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The East Coast Relays hosted by the University of North Florida on Friday and Saturday saw several members of the Embry-Riddle men's track and field team turn in career-best performances.
The two-day meet began with a PR of 55.25 for
Colin McHugh in the 400m hurdles.
Brendon Shea made the podium in the 3000m Steeplechase. He crossed the line in 9:12.95 bettering his previous personal best by more than six seconds to place second and record the second-fastest time in program history.
In the 800m,
Jacob D'Aleo posted a personal best and ran the fourth-fastest race in program history with a time of 1:51.90.
The final PR of the day came in the javelin.
Ryan Flournoy placed second overall with the second-best mark of his career of 63.37m.
Noah Gammichia improved his personal record by more than two meters with a throw of 56.01m to finish eighth.
The Eagles have one more chance to qualify for the NCAA II championships at the Lee University Last Chance Meet in Cleveland, Tennessee on May 13.
