TAMPA, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's track and field team wrapped up competition at the USF Bulls Invitational with a myriad of personal records on Friday.
The first PRs of the day came in the pole vault where
Conrad Prisby placed fifth overall with a vault of 4.75m (15-7) and
Colin McNally finished ninth with a mark of 4.60m (15-1).
The shot put saw
Seth Cribben record the longest throw of his career of 11.44m (37-6.5). He was followed closely by Jake Lyons who also had a PR of 11.43m (36-0).
Ryan Flournoy continued to raise the Embry-Riddle standard in the javelin. He bettered his own school record and finished first with a throw of 63.93m (209-9) which is a provisional qualifying mark and stands as the fifth highest mark in NCAA II this season. The Eagles took three of the top four places in the javelin with
Aden Parsons (53.06m (174-1)) taking third and
Noah Gammichia (54.01 (164-1)) taking fourth.
Antonio Caito had a personal record of 14.09m (46-2.75) in the triple jump to finish second, just ahead of
Kobe Diggs (13.93m (45-8.5)) and
Darren Kong (12.84m (42-1.5)) who were third and sixth, respectively.
The first event on the track was the 3000m Steeplechase and that resulted in a personal-best time of 9:53.78 for
Ryan Musil.
Two other Eagles were in action at separate meets on Friday and both turned in personal best performances in their respective events. Racing in the 10000m at the Lee University Flames Invitational,
Bartosz Kwiecinski ran a 30:52.46 which marked the seventh fastest time in program history.
Brendon Shea bettered his PR in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 9:19.14 which ranks fifth all-time at Embry-Riddle.
The next meet on the schedule is the Peach Belt Conference Championships which Embry-Riddle will host at the ERAU Track & Field Complex, April 20-21.
