Men's Track and Field Takes Part in UCF Knights Invite

ORLANDO, Fla. — Embry-Riddle Men's Track and Field competed in the UCF Knights Invite on Friday and Saturday, seeing numerous personal records set.

On Friday, Noah Robbins set a personal record in the long jump, beating out his previous best of 5.54m with a 5.61m leap.

Joshua Dixon and Matt Larsen set career bests in the shot put, with tosses of 12.83m and 12.58m respectively.

Derick Brown and Chris Abell both set personal bests in the 400m with times of 54.26 and 56.23.

Craig Dedrick III set a personal record in the 200m by running it in 21.99. In addition, K'Anthony Benjamin's time of 21.53 is his best as an Eagle.

Dedrick, Walker Cowherd and Kobe Diggs all set personal records in the 200m by running it in times of 21.99, 22.45 and 22.71 respectively. In addition, Benjamin's time of 21.53 is his best as an Eagle.

In the 1500m, Lucca DiMario set a career best time of 4:05.31, as did Jack Brooks when he ran it in 4:09.75.

Brendon Shea won the 3000m steeplechase in a time of 9:16.72, the fifth-fastest in program history.

On Saturday, Larsen set a new career record in the discus with a 40.26m throw.

Isaiah Kline set a personal record in the high jump with a 1.86m leap.

Antonio Caito's triple jump of 14.84m set an outdoor personal record for the sophomore and is the fourth-best mark in ERAU history, also placing him in first in the event.

Adam Landen, Dedrick, Brown and Benjamin ran the 4x100m in 41.29, the fourth-fastest time in Embry-Riddle history.

In the 800m, Jake Fritz (1:51.88) and Jacob D'Aleo (1:52.11) set the fourth and eighth-best times in program history, with Fritz also setting a new outdoor personal record.

Abell's time of 15.25 in the 110m hurdles is a personal best.

Drake Stephan (49.95) and Fritz (51.73) both set career bests in the 400m, and Dedrick set a new career record of 10.88 in the 100m.

Next up for the Eagles is a home meet on Thursday, as the Embry-Riddle Running Elements Classic will take place in Daytona Beach, Fla. at the ERAU Track & Field Complex.
