Men's Track and Field Excels at Bryan Clay Invitational

AZUSA, Calif. – The Embry-Riddle men's track and field team sent a small contingent out to California the past two days, to compete in the prestigious Bryan Clay Invitational. Three  Eagle competitors hit NCAA II provisional marks while competing in an NCAA Division I-heavy field.

On Friday, Tanner Rosolino set a personal record while running the second-best 10,000m time in program history of 30:15.10, hitting a provisional standard.

Brendon Shea set a personal best of his own, running the third-best 5,000m time in ERAU history with 14:15.27, also meeting a provisional standard.

Jake Fritz also set a career record, as his time of 1:50.92 in the 800m is third best in program history and also hits a provisional standard. Fritz finished ahead of over 100 Division I competitors, coming in 15th out of 235, while Jacob D'Aleo (1:52.69) came in 70th, both of them finishing ahead of numerous competitors from power conference schools.

On Saturday, Ryan Flournoy's javelin toss of 59.85m placed him seventh in a field of 35, ahead of five Division I participants and again meeting a provisional standard.

The third home meet of the season is next week, as Embry-Riddle will host the Eagles Invite at the ERAU Track & Field Complex on Saturday, April 20.
