PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - No. 5 Embry-Riddle women's rowing traveled up north this weekend to the Cooper River, where it had two strong finishes in the Knecht Cup at the Camden County Boathouse.
After weather circumstances pushed the Saturday races back, all races took place on Sunday.
The Eagles excelled in their first race, coming in second place in the D-II Fours. The four boat of
Briella Goldenberg,
Caterina Hart,
Danielle DelGrippo,
Alexandria Fife-Winslow and
Laurel Grein (coxswain) finishied in a time of 8:08.88, placing them ahead of No. 3 Seattle Pacific, No. 8 Barry and No. 6 Mercyhurst, as they lost a tight last-second battle by 1.68 seconds to No. 1 Central Oklahoma, winners of three of the last five national championships.
Then in the D-II Eights, the ERAU boat containing

Aria Moses,
Alexandra Weilert,
Soleil Edwards,
Sofia Lorenzini,
Shelby Ernst and
Jadyn Harjung (coxswain) came in third place with a time of 7:06.41, ahead of Seattle Pacific, No. 7 Thomas Jefferson and Barry.
The Eagles will head to Sarasota for the Sunshine State Conference Championship on Friday, April 26, as they will be in search of their second championship at Nathan Benderson Park this season after previously winning the FIRA state championship there on March 30, and their third SSC title in a row.
