Track and Field to Send Five to Outdoor Nationals

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle Track and Field will be sending five athletes to the 2024 NCAA II Outdoor Track and Field Championships, as the NCAA announced the inclusion of Antonio Caito, Ryan Flournoy, Mikaela Miles, Kirsten Rolle and Brooklynn Gould on Tuesday.
 
Caito, will be making his nationals debut, as his triple jump of 15.29m at the South Florida Invitational on April 5. is not only a program record, but the 11th-best leap in NCAA Division II in 2024.

Flournoy will be competing in the javelin for the second consecutive year, as he also set a program record at the South Florida Invitational, with his 64.18m throw being the 17th-best in the NCAA II this season.

After competing in the 2023 and 2024 indoor national meets, Miles is set to make her outdoor nationals debut. Miles broke her own program record with a 12.37m leap in the triple jump at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 13, the 17th-best in NCAA II in 2024.

Rolle also is making her debut, as her first-place 56.20m toss in the hammer on April 29. at the Peach Belt Conference Outdoor Championship places her 17th in NCAA Division II this season.

Gould has made the most of her first season in Division II, breaking her own program record in the heptathlon twice, as well as grabbing the third-best score to win the conference championship. It was her 5157-point performance in the Bryan Clay Invitational which earned her the 14th-best score in NCAA II in 2024, sending her to nationals.
 
Emporia State University will host the national championship event at Francis G. Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kansas, May 23-25.
