Track and Field Earns 20 All-Region Selections

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Members of the Embry-Riddle track and field teams earned 2024 All-Region recognition for outdoor competition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday. The ERAU men's and women's track and field squads combined to take home 20 honors in the South Region.

To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top five individuals in his/her event in their respective region. In addition, each member of a region's top three relay teams was selected for the distinction.

Brendon Shea stood out, earning selections in both the 3000m Steeplechase and the 5000m.

Several Eagles made their first All-Region appearance, as Derick Brown (110m Hurdles), Walker Cowherd (Long Jump), Noah Gammichia (Javelin) , Chase O'Connell (Javelin), Tanner Rosolino (10,000m), Carter Speh (Decathlon), Hailey Bruce (Javelin), Brooklyn Gould (Heptathlon), Mackenzie Keller (1,500m), Kirsten Rolle (Hammer), and Taylor Roth (800m) were all selected for the first time.

Next on the schedule for ERAU is the NCAA II Outdoor National Championships. The Championships will take place in Emporia, Kansas, and will run from May 23-25.
